The Peace of God!

2008 has been a very challenging year for us all, no doubts about that at all! But through these challenges, something good emerged. For many who have previously taken the mercies and blessings of God for granted, they found themselves looking for a way of escape; they sought for peace in the midst of the storms...the kind that only God can give..The Bible calls it "the peace of God that passeth all human understanding".

As we prepare to start a new year, I want to leave you with this truth that will make ALL the difference in the new year. Purse and possess this peace of God for as the plagues get fiercer, it is this peace that will continually assure you of God's provision and protection over all that concerns your life. And this peace can only be obtained by retreating into your prayer closet regularly, reading God's word fervently and worshipping Him in spirit and in truth. That is where you would mostly surely discover and retain His peace.

As you determine in your hearts to seek God, May you find untold peace and everlasting joy in His presence. I love you unconditionally with the love of my God.

Whose report do you believe?

In times like this, whose report do you believe? Do you believe the land registry statistics on house prices? Do you believe that as retailers, banks, etc go under, you are likely to be out of a job in no time? Do you believe that without a job, it is going to be quite tough for your family? Or do you believe that you cannot afford that comfortable standard of living as things get expensive? Honestly, what do you truly believe?


Permit me to go first as I tell you from the depths of my heart what I sincerely and faithfully believe! When I gave my life to Christ in August 1992, I wholeheartedly surrendered everything to Him. I began to live my life in the understanding that God takes the glory for all that I'll ever be. I am assured always that I belong to God and He directs all the affairs of my life. And so I get genuinely excited when I read His word as it gives me living hope as I expectantly look forward to the manisfestation of His power and glory in my life.


Therefore, no matter the situation and the crisis happening all around me, I am not moved for He that I worship, serve and live for ...He is the beginning and end of my Life. He holds the keys to life and death and His words are Yea and Amen unto me...settled forever in heaven! And so at times like this, all I need to remember is His promises to me.. His report concerning me is an excellent one and holds true in all situations..For God is not a man that He should lie. He has promised to hasten to perform all the words He has spoken to me. He will never leave me nor forsake me.

Although His ways are not my ways, He will surely bring me to an expected end. I am living in God's perfect season for my life as I daily seek to obey His word. Unlike all other worldly reports, His report concerning my life was written before the foundations of the world were laid and endures forever. That's why I truly believe His report and none other!
