The hidden man of the heart! - Part II

I pray my mail meets you on fire for your God!

In times like this, I admonish every believer to take time to understand the very nature and contents of their human hearts. As I stated in part I of this end-time message, God is coming to judge the hearts of men. Where those hearts have not been renewed by the power of the cross and the gift of the Holy spirit, such hearts would not make it before God. Therefore , as you and I must prepare for the glorious coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we need to ensure that we are ready and that we are confident that we will make it to heaven!

Jeremiah 17:9 states, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

Proverbs 23:7 declares, "For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he".

So it is what is inside of you that makes who you are and not what you consciously show men outwardly. The word of God says "who can know the heart of men"? This means that it is humanly impossible to discern the very thoughts that are in the heart of men except through God's revelation and His word. The bible states that the word of God (which is God himself, Our Lord Jesus and the Holy spirit) is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart of men. Hebrew 4:12 ( from the Amplified Version of the bible) says clearly:

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

So when you say you know me, what you are really saying is that you know what I show you but not necessarily what I am thinking deep inside of me.

You may then say, how is it possible to show something that is not really you? Of course, it is very possible because man has an ability retain information and conceal thoughts; he chooses what to say and when to say it and how to say it; in order words, he can pretend for however long a time he has trained himself to do this. In truth, the bible states in Luke 6:45,

The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

This means the heart stores up thoughts and the mouth would only speak when there is an overflow of those thoughts. The fact that you don't speak out those evil thoughts does not mean that you are not thinking them.

Isaiah 58 confirms this where it says that we try to indicate a condition of heart that we do not have when we are fasting!

Therefore, my beloved sisters, let us truly examine the state of our hearts and ensure that what is in there would be most pleasing to our heavenly father when he comes to judge the entire world. Let our inward man be what is manifested or seen on the outward. Not only will those around you be truly blessed but more especially, you will be well prepared to meet your king!

The hidden man of the heart! - Part I

My beloved sisters in the Lord, I pray that you remain completely hid in Christ and that you continue to walk in the fullness of His calling over your life.

Have you ever wondered about that person that is always talking inside of you? Erroneously, many have refered to him as the devil, especially when the conversation is unpleasant and appears ungodly. We tend to say things like, "I know it was the enemy speaking to me and not God because God does not speak that way..." But let me ask you this question, " how is the enemy able to speak to your heart so frequently when you are now in Christ"? How are you able to recognise the enemy speaking inside of you and yet unable to cast him out? How have you been able to allow him bed and breakfast "in you" so much so that he takes charge of you every now and again?

The truth , my dear, is that it is not the enemy that speaks inside of you if you have received Christ wholeheartedly into your life but the "unseen you" which is not nortured and therefore left exposed to the deceits of the devil! It is "the You" who has not yet been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God i.e. Jesus , who came to show us the way, the truth and the life that we ought to live! The bible refers to "this you" as the hidden man of the heart! Your heart personified indeed!

Proverbs 27:19 says: As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man.

So often, man focuses on the outward man (i.e. the seen man) and not the "hidden man" because of man's sin that was birth from the foundations of time - i.e. the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life! For the unredeemed man, his desire and focus is solely on "what is seen"!

This "seen man" is referred to as the Physical or human man while the "unseen man" is referred to as the spiritual man. Therefore, when you hear those conversations that are going on inside of you, there are the conversations of the spiritual man and where they do not appear christ-like, it means your spirit man is dead to the power that became ours through the sufferings, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus.

The spirit of God has impressed it strongly upon my heart for this season that this truth must be made known to the saints for it is this "Spiritual man" that will be judged and not the human man. The human man is dust and as the word of God tells us, it would return to dust i.e from whence it came. But the spiritual man remains before God continually and will be exposed on the day of judgement! Colossians 3:3 tells us that when we die to the human man (i.e the flesh), our life is now hid in Christ. Therefore, all you do is before Him always and will be made manifest (revealed to others) at His glorious appearing.

This message is a very important one and I have no intention to rush the delivery of it. May I humbly ask that you meditate on the above revelation of God's word so that you will be well prepared to receive ( precept upon precept) the deliverance God is bringing to us during this season of our lives. I love you with the love of Christ so very much.
