The hidden man of the heart - Part IV
I trust my God that you continue to give life and remain rooted in His presence
The message for the season is clear and urgent - God is after the spiritual man of the heart!
I Sam 16:7 confirms this:
But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
Proverbs 21:2 states "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs and tries the hearts".
Jer 17:10 states "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve."
Apostle Paul spoke a word that must truly guard and guide us in our spiritual journey. He says:
A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God.
Romans 2:28-29. These scriptures stress the importance of being spiritually circumcised "inwardly". Our real spiritual self is truly hidden!
It is our real spirituality which will then be judged, and made open for all to see. There is enough Biblical hint that this fact will result in some surprises. Many that are first shall be last. The works of the flesh are " manifest" , but by inference those of the Spirit are hidden (Gal. 5:18,19).
God is not looking for men pleasers but God pleasers – Men who are faithful to our Lord Jesus and His ways. Men who put their faith in the completed work of the cross and are dedicated to live as worthy ambassadors of Christ! Men who have chosen to forsake the glory of men for the glory of God! Men who strive to be in right standing with God, working out your salvation with fear and trembling before God. Men who seek a pure and renewed heart through Christ Jesus.
May my God find you in the number of these ones...I love you dearly
